Dr. Aisha Taylor is a Senior JONES Certified Consultant. She blends a comprehensive understanding of Organizational Psychology, leadership, cultural competency, faith, and spirituality to provide a unique style of consulting and training.
She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Portland State University (PSU). Her areas of research include leadership, creativity, organizational justice, diversity and inclusion, and she has co-authored two book chapters and presented at numerous academic conferences on these subjects. She has also taught courses at PSU on Strategic Staffing and Selection and Employee Motivation.
Dr. Taylor has facilitated focus groups, webinars, strategic planning, and training programs on leadership and/or cultural competency, anti-racism/anti-oppression, diversity and inclusion for numerous organizations, including Loyola Marymount University, University of San Diego, Episcopal High School, Legacy Health Systems, Berkshire Healthcare, Calif. Department of Motor Vehicles, Younger Women’s Task Force, Farm and Wilderness, and Camp Footprints. She serves as Project Director/Manager for several large-scale licensure and certification programs (e.g., New York City Department of Buildings, Carpenters International Training Fund, Certified Equity Professionals Institute).
For four years, she was the executive director of a national nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., where she implemented or oversaw all aspects of programming and human resources, including strategic planning, recruitment, selection, Board of Directors and employee training, leadership development, and performance evaluation. As part of her service, Aisha served on the Anti-racism team for a coalition partner and developed the Diversity and Inclusion team for her organization.
